Our Impact

The Joey Pizzano Memorial Fund has supported various programs within the DC metropolitan area that improve the lives of children with special needs and their families.

JPMF support reaches the special needs community in a variety of ways. JPMF  understands that providing care for children with special needs can be very challenging for parents and teachers. Through a variety of partnerships we enhance public services for those with special needs. JPMF has provided anything from adaptive aquatic wheel chairs and playground equipment, to ensuring teachers and therapists receive access to special training to better serve children with special needs. JPMF is proud that its greatest impact has been through the design and development of our award winning programs – JPMF SPLASH! and Our Special Harbor Spray ground.

The JPMF Splash! water safety program teaches children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities how to “be safe and have fun in and around the water”.

JPMF believes that all children and their families should have fun and experience life to the fullest.  Our Special Harbor’s unique design breaks down barriers, encourages interaction, and provides families and children of all abilities a place to play and have fun together!
